Smith & Pinching Website Privacy Policy
We will not use personal data supplied by you in an unauthorised way. Our collection and storage of personal data complies with the Data Protection Act. Where we do collect personal data we advise you how this data will be used, and give you the opportunity to choose whether to receive other information from us in the future. Data Protection Act 1998
Smith & Pinching places great importance on the confidentiality of its client’s records whether in paper form or on electronic data. We constantly review our procedures in relation to the Data Protection Act 1998. For your information under the terms of the Act, we are not allowed to release any information we may hold on record concerning an individual or their policy(ies) to anyone other than themselves, ‘the Insured.’ If a policyholder wishes another party to have access to their details or policy then we have to have specific written instructions to this effect on our records. For example you may wish your Partner, Son, Daughter or Managing Agent to have access to your records and be in a position to give us instructions on your behalf. To ensure that we comply with the terms and conditions of the Act, you will receive with any policy documentation a form for completion should you wish for someone else to have access to your information held by ourselves and who you wish to be able to issue instructions on your behalf.
It is important that should you wish someone other than yourself to have access to your details that this form is returned to us as soon as possible, as without it you must understand and appreciate that we will not be in a position to deal with anyone other than yourself.
